M&M’S — THE FLAVOR VOTE MUSEUM

M&M'S and Weber Shandwick asked us to elevate their annual Flavor Vote with experiential, gallery-worthy art installations inspired by three flavors: coffee, raspberry, and mint. The result was a human-size espresso machine, raspberry bean bags, and a minty-fresh geodesic ball pit

The annual M&M’s Flavor Vote campaign empowers the consumer to cast votes that directly shape the brand’s future by choosing the next limited-edition M&M’s flavor. For the third Flavor Vote installment in 2018, Mars Inc. and Weber Shandwick requested interactive yet elevated concepts that would bring the Flavor Vote into a physical space for the first time.

For months we ideated and ultimately settled upon three contemporary art installations representing three bold new M&M’s flavors: a human-size espresso machine inspired by the flavor coffee, an arctic green–painted geodesic dome and ball pit for the flavor crunchy mint, and a cozy fuchsia beanbag-scape for raspberry.

We worked with Brooklyn fabricators Square Design to build and install our large-scale “artworks” in a Soho gallery space that was open to the public. Oh, and the winner was crunchy mint.
